Mapping

Distribution maps presented here have been developed based on our observations personal, the reading of an extensive bibliography of specimens and data provided by other entomologists, and especially information from site Lepi'Net http://www.lepinet.fr/ of our colleague and friend Philippe Mothiron. We thank very warmly for giving us permission to use of its data.

In these cards, some data come from old catalogues, such as catalog Lhomme (1935-1949). Insects mentioned in some departments have sometimes not been included since more than a century.  It is data that have never been confirmed by subsequent observations. It is therefore possible to consider them as obsolete, see highly dubious. On the map of Marumba quercus, we indicated in light green the departments for which we have very serious doubts. Of course, we will be attentive to any information reversing / confirming these references.
